So it's Saturday night, only 4 more sleeps before I leave for my big adventure, and I'm practising packing my bag, and I'm starting to think that maybe I'm just a bit too high maintenance to travel overseas with just one 65 litre backpack. My bag is choka-block, and I keep remembering things that I really should bring and haven't yet put in my bag. So I'm having to re-prioritise my needs, and I think that maybe I won't bring that 2nd pair of sneakers, and I'm pretty pleased that I decided against buying the travel hair dryer (although that may change once I've had a few bad-hair days).

I went to Melbourne last weekend to catch up with some of my friends before I go overseas. I stayed with Jenny and Shane, and I highly recommend their B&B in North Croydon, for anyone heading to Melbourne in the near future. The bed is very comfy, as is the leather modular lounge suite (just need to try to grab the chase spot, before anyone else does) and Shane's Sunday morning breakfast is not-to-be-missed! A few of us headed out for dinner at Poppy's Thai in Croydon on the Saturday night, then we headed back to Jenny and Shane's for drinks (chocolate port - yum!) and ice cream (and a pyjama party!).
Emma also joined the Pyjama party (complete with PJ's).

On Wednesday (Anzac Day) I went to Lucy's for a chocolate lunch. Lucy made us Venison and Cocoa Stew, Lynda made Toblerone cocktails, I made Rich Raspberry and Chocolate Dessert Cakes, and Kate made Choc-chip Cookies. We were all supposed to wear black and white (in honour of Collingwood), but I forgot to tell Kate, Lucy completely forgot to wear it herself, but Lynda made up for us all by going all-out and dressing black and white from head to foot. And of course, Collingwood made up for it by winning the big game against Essendon (although we were too busy drinking cocktails to pay much attention).
Now I'm looking forward to breakfast tomorrow at the Basin Cafe.
