Florence

I spent one sleepless night in Oslo (thanks to the noise outside the window and the hotel claiming that they couldn't move me- I think they at least could have given me reduced rates, afterall if I had wanted a crappy nights sleep I would have stayed in a hostel and paid hostel prices. I'm definitely NOT going to recommend that you visit Thon hotels next time you're in Norway), then caught a flight to Rome early the next morning.

From Rome, I caught a train to Florence where I spent the next day and a half shopping! I spent a lot of time at the market at San Lorenzo where I picked up a few bargains and invested in a couple of Italian leather jackets. I won't bore you too much with the details- besides, I think it's difficult to capture the atmosphere of the place with words. Instead I'll include a few photos of what is possibly the most beautiful city in the world.

The sandwich and wine bar that sells my favourite snack in Florence.

On the Sunday afternoon, I caught a train back to Rome, where I spent the afternoon revisiting some of my favourite places there including the Trevi fountain and the Spanish Steps and some gelaterias.

The next morning I flew back to London, where I spent one night before catching a flight back to Australia.

And as most of you know, I am now back home again!
