Australian Summer

What a beautiful country we live in! Here are some photos from this summer.
Waterskiing at Trevallyn Dam
Above is Alex, skiing behind his new boat after work one day. It had been a hot day, and the water temperature that evening was 23 degrees! It was so nice, that I decided that I would give it a go!Me, listening to last minute advice from Dad and Alex.
Okay, so I'm not completely upright, but I thought that it was a pretty good effort. It was heaps of fun!
Eric's Anaesthetic
Here, Eric recuperates after having an anaesthetic which I had to give him to remove a grass-seed/bug from his ear.
Our VisitorsTwo eagles flew into our backyard and rested in one of our gumtrees.
Festivale 2008
Elise came flew to Launceston (from Melbourne) to come to Festivale with me! We had a great afternoon eating, drinking and listening to music. Our plates of calamari and fish cakes and scallopsThe airforce band, Force Ten, was very talented and entertaining.Black truffle icecream. That's the fungi variety of truffle, a pretty interesting taste. Elise and I decided that it was the bluecheese equivalent of icecream. Glad I tried it, but I won't be ordering it again anytime soon.
The Gorge
Elise had never been to The Cataract Gorge before, so we went there the day after Festivale.I could hear something rustling in the bushes, and was relieved to find that it was an Echidna.
The Wooden Boat FestivalElise and I visited The Wooden Boat Festival which was on down at the Seaport.
